Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Shopping Guide

My favorite sale of the year is here! If you’re not familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it’s all brand new fall merchandise. I always use this sale to stock up on my fall essentials, pick up a few investment pieces to build my wardrobe, and maybe get a trendy thing or two. Last year I didn’t need to buy anything else after the sale until Spring, except for a coat during Thanksgiving Sale times!

A few tips for shopping:

Items sell out FAST! If you like something, jump on it! You can always return it and Nordstrom has a great return policy. I thought too long about a few pieces last year and ended up missing out on them. I know you guys also didn’t get to grab a lot of what you wanted. I don’t mean to make this sound stressful, but I didn’t realize this last year and wish I acted quicker so that’s why I’m sharing it with you!
Shop online! Variety is larger, restocks are quicker, and you can always pick up in store!
Early Access with Nordstrom card is July 12 – July 19. You can still sign up online for a card, all you’ll need is the card number and can get shopping immediately. You’ll also get a $40 Nordstrom Note to shop with. I signed up last year during the sale because my favorites were selling out and not being restocked
Public Access is July 20 – August 5. I highly recommend opening tabs to each item you want to you can put in your cart as quick as possible at midnight. For items that are expected to sell out, I’d even check out the second it’s in your cart and keep shopping. I lost out so many items while shopping it drove me nuts!

Floral Dress – I fell in love with this dress and it already sold out in a few sizes! It sold out in store so I can’t wait for my online purchase to arrive!

AG The Legging Ripped Jeans – These are a cult favorite being recommended by everyone! I ordered a pair!

Zella Leggings – All the Zella leggings are amazing, but a similar pair to these sold out every time they were restocked last year. I missed out

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings – These are a must and everyone knows they are! They already sold out the first night and were restocked. I got them last year and am getting this version this year

Lace Trim Cami – The perfect layering piece, great for now and fall. This sold out quick last year!

Ribbed Cocoon Sweater – There was a similar version last year that wasn’t ribbed and I missed out on it! Scooped this up immediately. I’m loving the tan and pink adobe

Cocoon Cardigan – Similar to the version above at a lower price point and without ribbing. I got the brown cattail

Sam Edelman Boots – These are going be huge this year! So on trend for fall and comfy for heeled boots

Waffle Cardigan: Already sold out and I regret not getting it! Keep checking back!

Dresses

I grabbed This (my fave!), This (so cute for fall!), This (so pretty and feminine). and This (so cute for a casual everyday look!) This is similar to a dress I have and always get compliments on.

Sweaters

I got this sweater in 2 colors last year and loved it all year! So deliciously cozy! I also got this sweater last year and loved it, so I picked up another color this year. I missed out on this sweater last year and scooped it up immediately this year as well as this dupe. Crushing on this one but not sure if I’ll get it yet! This Barefoot Dreams sweater is SOOOO COZY. I wasn’t going to keep it, but I couldn’t bring myself to return it because it’s SO COMFY! I’ve worn it every night since I’ve purchased it and it’s not even cold here yet.

Bottoms

I picked up these jeans and these jeans. I’ve tried these already and they are so flattering! I hate jeans but I’m excited to wear these!! I discovered these leggings last year and since then haven’t looked back to Lululemon. They are also a fraction of the cost! I missed out on similar leggings to these last year and grabbed them quick this year! These faux leather leggings suck everything in so they are super flattering and can be dressed up or down. I also picked up this version this year.

Tops

Such a pretty and feminine top. Love this lace cami for layering, will sell out fast! LOVE THIS, it’s a wrap that also turns into a cardigan and wrap sweater. So versatile and perfect for travel! The perfect tee to stock your wardrobe with. I’ve been waiting for this Free People tee to go on sale! Also, this top is SO pretty!

Jackets and Vests

I got this faux leather jacket, it’s similar to the black one I got last year and love so I got it in another color. I’m also really crushing on this gorgeous cashmere vest. This parka is perfect if you live somewhere cold or traveling somewhere cold. I don’t have anything like this and I always need it so I’ll probably be getting it. I also love this classic coat in a fun red. This suede jacket is so pretty and will sell out for sure.

Accessories

I got these dupes of a Gucci pair of sunglasses I was loving. I got a similar tote as this last year and have worn it every day- love it! I love this cross body when all you need is a smaller bag and it’s PERFECT for travel because it zips closed, fits all the essentials, is lightweight, and close to your body making it easier for you to protect yourself against pickpocketers. I’m also loving this overnight bag for shorter trips. This cashmere wrap is so luxurious and amazing to travel with. I picked up a similar version last year and love it.

Shoes

I always love getting a really classic pair of flats that I can wear forever during this sale. I’m OBSESSED with these and think they will go quickly. Hunters are on sale, as well as these Frye boots that I got last year and LOVE. I LOVE these waterproof booties – so comfy and can work for any type of weather. I’ve worn them SO much. These are the comfiest booties you’ll ever try! I got these booties – so cute! And these athletic shoes which I’m loving! These booties are SO cute! I just don’t need another pair of beige booties, but I LOVE them! I need a pair of duck boots for some upcoming trips and this version is really cute!

PJS

Got these last year, so cute, comfy, and budget friendly! Really recommend! I got this set this year, it’s so comfy and also so budget friendly. It’s also a great gift idea, I might pick up a few to gift for the holidays. I also ordered this set this year- so pretty! This set is so classic! Literally obsessed with the short and long PJ sets shown above. They are sooooo soft and comfy! I don’t know if I can justify the price, but if you want to treat yourself, those are a great pick!

Beauty

I got these toner pads last year and am obsessed with them. They are a big part of my skin care regimen. You get two packs for a discounted price. I’ve been wanting to try this lash boost, I’ve heard it works miracles and at this price, I might finally try them. This palette is so pretty and perfect for travel because it has almost everything you need.
