Instagram has added lots of awesome features over the past few months, but there are a few features that have yet to be added that bloggers have been wanting. One of those is being able to add more than one link in your Instagram bio. It’s so annoying when you have more than one thing to share but can only post one link. Now there’s a way to share all the links without being a verified account! I’m going to walk you through the steps to set up more than one link on Instagram and then share a few tips on how to best utilize this feature to your advantage.
Let’s start with setup. It’s super easy and I mean easy. Even a non-tech saavy blogger like me can do it!
Step 1: Sign up with Link Tree
Literally all you have to do is sign in with your Instagram account.
Step 2: Add your links!
You can add your links, title them whatever you want, and rearrange their order.
Once you add your links it’ll look like this:
Step 3: Customize!
Go to the settings tab and customize the colors if you’d like.
Step 4: Copy the link to Instagram!
Once you’re done setting up your links, copy the link in the upper right hand corner and paste it into your Instagram bio.
Step 5: All the links show up on Instagram!
Now when someone clicks the link in your bio, here’s what shows up:
Step 6: Update whenever you like!
Go ahead and add links, move links, rename links- whatever you want! The changes automatically save and you don’t need to edit the link in your Instagram bio.
See! I told you this was easy!
Here are a few ways to utilize Link Tree:
1. Link to any blog posts you’ve mentioned in your Instagram posts or stories. Keep up at least the last 3 you’ve mentioned since with the new algorithm followers may not see your posts for several days
2. Link to your general blog link
3. Link to any other social media feeds you are trying to grow {We linked to our Facebook page}
4. Link to any products you’ve mentioned so it’s easier to shop your feed {i.e. gain affiliate sales}
5. Link to your newsletter
6. Make sure your link labels are very clear so your followers know exactly what they are getting
7. Mention the new way of linking every so often on your stories. Since not a lot of bloggers are utilizing Link Tree, not all Instagram users are familiar with it
8. Limit the amount of links you include so that you do not overwhelm your followers {I’d say about 10 links max unless you’re doing a short-term product roundup}
9. Check Link Tree analytics to see how which links are doing best. You can find these by going to your homepage and checking the little graph icon below each link. You can also get daily stats, but you need to upgrade to a paid account to get those
I hope this helps drive some extra traffic to your blog! Let us know what strategies you come up with for using Link Tree!

That’s awesome that you get lots of traffic from IG! It’s definitely not one of my biggest traffic drivers by any means, but I’m already seeing a difference with this. Hopefully it’ll continue to grow your (already great) traffic!

Thanks for sharing this! I’ve never heard of Link Tree before, I’m definitely going to test this and see how it works. I wonder how Instagram feels about this, do you have any thoughts on whether this can potentially put your IG account in jeopardy?

Hi Tonya, thanks for your comment! I’m glad to hear this was helpful for you. No one can ever be sure what IG thinks, but it doesn’t go against their TOS in any way so it should be just fine!

Thanks! I love IG but readers need getting to my links to be simple and this sounds like the solution!

Right?! It’s so frustrating not being able to link as much as needed. I’m glad you found this helpful!

This is fantastic tool and huge life savior! I’ve been wondering how to add multiple links on IG since having just one pretty much sucks! Thanks for sharing this extremely helpful information! 🙂

It totally sucks! I often have a bunch of links I need to share and it’s hard to pick just one. I’m so glad you found this useful and thanks for letting me know!

Great find! Love this idea and I can’t believe this hasn’t been a more popular feature on IG! Will definitely implement this!

I am surprised too! I’m starting to see more bloggers use it, but not many. It’s so hard being limited to just one link!
