Welcome to week 5 of the 6 week relationship challenge! This week is COMMUNICATION!
You made it to the last relationship challenge of the series! We are so proud of you! We know it’s not easy to prioritize these challenges when life can get crazy and busy, but we believe it’s so important to put our relationships first. We see a giant difference in a negative way when we don’t.
The final challenge for this week is a combination of two love languages: quality time and gifts. For the final challenge, we are challenging you to each plan a surprise for your partner that you think they will like. It can be a date, a weekend getaway, whatever you want, but it has to be something that you chose specifically for them because it has to do with something they like or have been wanting to do.
This challenge tackles two of the love languages. Quality time is pretty self explanatory- you get to spend quality time together. It also targets gifts because you’ll be thinking of something that your partner likes and also surprising them. Thought and surprise are usually two elements that appeal to a “gifts” love language receiver more than the actual physical gift.
Keep in mind even though we each have a primary and secondary love language, all the love languages contribute to us feeling loved. Even though you should focus on speaking your partner’s main love languages, it’s still important to occasionally incorporate the others.
We saved this challenge for last because it might take you longer than one week to complete. We are going to take two weeks to complete it ourselves because we are going to do one a week. If you can’t go on a date a week, that’s okay. You can spread this out, but aim to complete the challenge within a month.
We hope you have fun with this final challenge! We personally think it’s the most fun challenge of the 6.
Thank you so much for joining us on this journey! We loved being able to be a part of your journey and hope you saw a positive difference in your relationship. We know that a lot of these challenges can be hard and may bring up difficult conversations. We hope you’ll lean into the discomfort and learn to be okay with everything not going perfectly. The amazing thing to focus on is that you tried. Over time, all action will lead to results. Stick with it!
We’d love it if you filled out THIS SURVEY with feedback on how the challenge experience was for you. This will help us to provide you with better value with future challenges and offerings. See you again soon! xo, Lena & Bassam
